The 1.6 GHz Quad Core Xeon E5310 Second Processor from Dell is designed for multi-processor systems. The quad-core processor architecture places four execution cores, or computational engines, within a single processor. This processor, with 1066 MHz bus speed, offers excellent performance and headroom for peak Internet server loads, resulting in faster response times, support for more users and improved scalability. It has been tested and validated on Dell systems. This processor is fully supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.Important Note: This processor requires a compatible motherboard. Systems with the compatible motherboard can be identified by the roman numeral 'II' on the outside of the chassis. Please verify that the customer has the correct motherboard before ordering these processors. Motherboard upgrades are not supported on this system.
