I recently purchased a Westinghouse 26" widescreen 1920 x 1200 monitor. The cable that came with it was marginal and so was the video. After reading some monitor reviews and going to www.hdmi.com I realized the problem was with my cable. This is a DVI cable that meets the 1.3 hdmi standard. It gives you the full bandwidth of hdmi when connecting to you computer. If you are going to use a hdmi input monitor with a dvi video card this is the cable you want. I purchased the 1 meter cable because my monitor is right next to my computer. The cable is avaliable in longer lengths. It has the 10.2 giga bit bandpass required for Blue Ray. Well worth he higher price.
