This high-performance, MultiRead (max. speed) CD-ROM drive is ideal for multimedia applications, and works well as a source drive for digital audio extraction. It features an ATAPI E-IDE interface for easy installation, supports Ultra-DMA 33MB per second burst transfer rate, and complies with the MPC3 standard. Other features include a 52X maximum speed, an average seek time of 99ms, a 128KB buffer, and analog and digital line-out connectors on the rear of the drive.The drive works under DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows NT, and OS/2 Warp. It handles 80mm and 120mm discs and the following disc types (data format): CD-Audio, CD-ROM (modes 1 and 2), CD-ROM/XA (mode2, forms 1 and 2), CD-I, Photo-CD (single and multiple sessions), CD-WO, CD-EXTRA, I-TRAX CD, CD-R, and CD-RW.The drive's front panel has a load/eject button, play/skip button, power on/busy LED indicator, 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, and a rotary volume control knob.
