Nice blinking lights, however it never worked for connecting anything. Next time I'll buy a different brand.

Can't say that I really go for the bright blue light on top, but other than that... I use this hub for all my desktop USB peripherals, as well as to plug in any occasional use ones that I need. It has worked well for a month now.

This is a good hub which works reliably. It can work with or without AC power. If you want the faster USB 2.0 performance, you will probably need the use the AC power. But you will be able to plug in most peripherals such as the keyboard and the mouse without using the AC power. There is only one minor complaint about this hub. The blue light in the middle of the hub cannot be shut off. In darkness, the blue glow can shine like a very weak flashlight. Moreover, when the AC power is not used, the blue glow can flicker every 5 minutes or so (depending on its mood). This is not a major annoyance and I did get used to it. But it may bother some people more than others. The flickering can be alleviated by using AC power, but the blue glowing light cannot be shut off. If you are looking for a good quality USB 2.0 hub that works reliably, then this hub will do its job. If you are one of those people who gets annoyed by petty lights and noises while trying to sleep, then you may want to try an another hub.
