AutoView Server Interface MOD for VT100 Serial Devices
KVM over IP switches from Avocent do not use old-style heavy coax kvm cables. Avocent KVMappliances are connected to your servers using a special 'dongle' with the appropriate keyboard, video and mouse connectors and an RJ-45 socket. Using Cat5 technology reduces the cable volume in high-density racks and allows server to continue to function in the event of a disconnection from the KVM unit.
