AVerKey iMicro PC/Mac to TV Converter f/ Multimedia Presentations

Thanks to the AVerKey iMicro, you can easily project any computer application on to a big screen TV or save it into a VCR. Start a business presentation, create training tapes, display animations, play games or surf the Internet on a big TV screen in seconds. The AVerKey iMicro comes with all the quality functions that you have come to expect: Zoom and Pan lets you magnify your image, resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 (underscan) and wider horizontal and vertical frequencies, and simultaneous viewing on your TV and VGA/MAC monitors. The scan converter is Plug-n-Play, no software drivers required. It's compatible with PCs, Macs and laptops. Its Touch Button Control Panel supports 16.7 million colors. You get up to 3-levels of flicker-filter selection for sharpness control. Other features include horizontal/vertical picture positioning and horizontal/vertical screen panning. The unit supports composite/S-video/Scart RGB video output.

I bought this because I needed to convert VGA to composite. This scan converter does what it says it will. Unit is easy to use. Worked on my first attempt without reading instruction manual. The picture is a little blurry from the conversion process but it doesn't look bad. Best used for video playback. The only gripe I have is the plastic housing feels a bit fragile and the buttons seem flimsy. The real reason I bought this (besides it being in stock) is the included AC power supply. I couldn't afford to lose a USB port to power the scan converter.

I see this all the time shopping online, tons of information and opinions but critical info not mentioned. I suppose because the marketing is done quickly and carelessly. What is the range of the device?

This units works great and and was easy to setup. No special software or settings needed. It just works out of the box!
