This device solves problems where a USB device needs to be further away from a computer than USB can support. We use this at my workplace to put a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 where visitors get their picture taken for badges. It works flawlessly and no software is required to be installed on the computer for the devices to work. The devices are completely invisible to the computer & the device on the far end.

The extension cable does the trick and it securely attaches to both ends. I used it for my security cam, and web cams and was able to receive the same picture up to 70 feet. The only thing is the price. It is over prriced i think. But if it is necessary these extensions are helpful.
