it's not the best speaker you can get, but it's definitely the best you can get for under 20$ has a headphone jack and an aux input on the speaker which is convenient, a volume, bass and treble jogs in front and also has a small sub-woofer unit for bass don't expect anything great in terms of sound, but it is reliable and looks good! also, note that this requires electricity - not usb powered!

I own a set of these sad little pc speakers. Move along, nothing to see here.

Best I've had yet
I think what I have said above pretty much covers my opinion. The only other thing would be you would really have trouble with the buttons if you have big hands or very smooth fingertips. I think the sound is the most important thing about a speaker system and this set sounds great for my use...listening to music on CDs or the Windows Media Player playlist and DVD movies or shows; plus, game sounds are very good or they can be shut off and you can listen to your own music instead. I'm glad I have them.
Pros: Excellent sound system. Love the range of variations of the treble and bass capabilities. I don't have an MP3 player; but, the cradle for it came with it and I'll be able to use it if I decide to go that route. Simple to install. Windows Media Player is where I put all my CDs and the quality of my music couldn't be better for this size sound system. Great to have the headphone and AUX plugs right in front of a speaker. Love the subwoofer under the big box to give it a better all-around sound. Glad I got it.
Cons: The only cons are the buttons on the right speaker--they are short and too close together to adjust volume, bass, and treble very easily, you need to use both hands...one to hold the speaker and one to turn the buttons. The buttons are also very slippery and hard to hold onto to use them. I wish the buttons were coated with rubber.nThe speakers themselves are very lightweight and not balanced well...they easily tip over to the front due to the design. They take up more desk space than the monitor does; so, I wouldn't recommend them to someone who is space limited. The great sound makes up for these things, tho. I also don't care for the on/off button being behind the big subwoofer box. If these things aren't a problem to you, I'd say "get the set".
