The versatile PortServer can attach any serial device to your local Ethernet. Ideal for console management of server farms, hubs, routers and PBXs, as well as connecting terminals to database applications such as travel reservations and information services, the PortServer is also a smart solution for kiosk management applications and small ISPs.The PortServer TS allows you to connect clusters of 2 to 16 high-speed serial ports to any TCP/IP Ethernet network. It supports asynchronous terminals, modems, printers and other serial devices. The PortServer TS is hardware independent, allowing users to access any type of networked server supporting TCP/IP. The PortServer is compatible with Sun Sparc servers. No break signal is issued on power cycle, preventing costly server reboots.
