DLT-VS1 (Value Smart) technology delivers products designed and priced for value mid-range servers. Sony's Emmy award winning metal tape technology is underlying this VS160 product. Loaded into a Quantum DLT VS160 drive, a single cartridge can hold up to 160 Gigabytes compressed or 80 GB native. That's plenty of storage for backing up midrange servers. High-capacity requires fast transfer. Sony DLT tape VS1 media keeps your backup windows small with 16MB per second compressed transfer speed (8 MB/sec native).
