However, with so many different sizes to consider, as well as other features such as a solid state drive, how do you know which hard drive is the best purchase for you? • Purchasing the right brand is just as important as picking the right size. Do some research into the company beforehand to check up on how reliable their brand is. This is especially important if you’re looking into a cheaper, off-brand alternative to the aforementioned brands from earlier.
• With Black Friday deals, Christmas sales and other sales happening all the time, it’s important to do research on prices before you go out and purchase an external hard drive from your local computer big box retailer. Often, you can find the same external backup drive cheaper at a competitor.
