5 mins to get the color settings I prefer. Easy on the eyes. Runs cooler than any of my 3 24" Dell$ Thinking of selling the Dells and getting two more..Overkill?? Yes but for $340 as to $499 for the Dells at the time. Why not. Wish it had a USB port. GO for it ...take the plunge.

I have no idea why this monitor is priced so low. I purchased it about two weeks ago, I waited to be sure it didn't have some immediate issues. It has worked perfectly. Like any monitor, you just plug it in and it works! There are two ways to hook it up, HDMI and VGA. No fears, VGA works great (ad there is a DVI adapter if desired). I have it hooked up so I can watch HDTV through the HDMI port and my computer is hooked up via VGA. An interesting feature not mnetioned is that if you are set to, say, HDMI and watch some program on it and then turn off it's signal, it switches to VGA input! There is also a manual button to switch in case both signals are 'live' and you want to pick the one to show. It does 'smell' like new-electronics when first purchased, but fades over time. Thr image is bright, colorful, and highly resolved (good detail). It also has extensive color/contrast control in the menu. It does have speakers, but better to use external speakers for anything of quality (music, movies. etc). When you first get it 'some assembly' is required. You hav to attach the base with three screws (wrench included). Takes about 5 minutes, and you're done! Then all you neee to do is be sure you are making use of it 1920,1200 resolution! Amazing monitor at an amazing price!

This is a great monitor. Although... I bought it for 309.99 from NewEgg, but I just checked again and now it is 299.99 and you STILL get free shipping from NewEgg. I got the same monitor shown here... from there. I ordered it on Wednesday... and I got it the next day! I couldn't believe it. The picture quality is amazing. I didn't hook up the sound because I heard it wasn't all too great... but I have a sound system of my own so it really doesn't matter. Anyways, save some money and get it quick from NewEgg, you won't regret it. [...]
