This is excelent video capture hardware, however the factory software is not compatible with windos vista. I was able to use the card anyway using the opensource programs VLC media player, and Virtual dub. Using VLC there is a 1-2 second delay in the playback, but the image quality is higher. However, I choose to use the capture preveiw function of Virtualdub instead. I primarily use this card to play video game consoles through my computer moniter, so i need to veiw the video without any delay. virtualdub supports realtime playback. As of yet this is the only capture card i have found that is capable of producing video without a delay in windows vista, so i am reasonable satisfied with the hardware.
