I bought this computer in August of 2007 at Circuit City (sad to see them go out of business, but I guess it helps online vendors). At the time, Vista was relatively new and there was still a lot of complaints about how atrocious Vista was. After I bought this system, I thought that all of the word on the street was true. I was having hang up issues and encountered quite a few blue screens. It was awful but I was glad to finally have an upgrade from my last computer. By early 2008, I figured it would be good enough to run some games with a new video card, and after opening the system up I discovered the power supply could only output (up to) 250 Watts. With a new 500W power supply and an affordable DirectX 10 graphics card, my computer has run pretty close to flawless. I rarely have problems with it, and after much use I've come to really like Vista. Overall, this system isn't very good on it's own, but it's affordable (shop around, I bought it for under $900 in 2007) and can be a really good computer after doing some upgrading. (Also one last small complaint: this computer came with a mechanical mouse and both the keyboard and mouse use legacy PS2 connections. The mouse stopped registering horizontal movements, so I had to replace it with a much more effective Microsoft optical mouse, but I do like the keyboard and still use it.)

Perhaps I misread the advert. The mechanics of this computer seem to work just fine. I had understood that Microsoft Office was on the computer. It was, but only student version and as a trial. Eventually after owning the computer over 18 months I am going to buy Office Professional as I can not transfer my XP version of Office to this Vista Computer. I can not use my version of quickbooks on Vista either so I still need to keep running all the other computers in my business on XP or the upgrades just eat up profits. Summing up. Good computer mechanically. Software was not what I had expected.
