HP have made some really good high end desktops which a lot of power users would love to have. They offer some of the best configurations along with a decent build. But then it was their mainstream, mid range PC’s that really made them popular. They packed a reasonably good configuration in a desktop which is priced very well.

For the average user they presently have the HP P7 series. These desktops might not be the most powerful but they will do all your everyday tasks without any problems. They come with Intel Core2 Dou’s or i5 processors depending on the applications you use. Most everyday tasks like using MS Office and browsing the internet a Core2 Duo would suffice. These PC’s also come with a minimum of 2GB of RAM and you can upgrade it to about 16G if you find your applications slowing down. Coming to the Hard Drive you would get a minimum of 320 GB but in most of the PC’s in this series come with 500 GB or higher.

Among the HP Pavilion desktop pc in the P7 series only the HP P7QE series actually have a video card. This desktop is perfect for those of you who play a few games once In a while but don’t want to spend a fortune building a gaming rig. This system comes with the Intel Core i5 processor with 4 GB of RAM. Apart from that this comes with the AMD Radeon HD 6450 which has about 512 MB of video memory. This video card might not be able to play the latest games at the highest resolution but it sure does a reasonable job in playing them at low settings.

So by the looks of it HP does make some really good PC’s for the average user.
