I bought this computer 18 months ago, and overall my experience with HP was horrible, the support is terrible, no help at all, and not to mention the hard drive is VERY LOUD, and the performance is slow, I don't recommend this computer for gamers since it only has 3GB of RAM, runs perfect when you use it just for basic computing, and I've heard HP uses refurbished computer components, maybe that's why the DVD Burner & Hard Drive is defective, since the DVD Burner broke without notice and the hard drive is loud. I will never buy HP again. I'm going with DELL instead, their support is alot better. The only reason why i purchased this HP computer, is for the lightscribe technology.

This is a strong computer, though I've had two issues. First, it seems to read CDs very slowly. Second, it doesn't always wake up from sleep mode. Actually, I think the computer wakes up, but doesn't send any signal to the monitor. So I could probably press the windows-icon key, then the right arrow three times, then enter in order to shut things down properly. Instead, I've just held the power button, and fortunately it's started up every time without any memory loss.

I bought my first computer from a local PC shop around AMD K-166/200/233 days. Before that I had hand-me-downs. After that (for 10 years) I built my own so I could get the class of component that I wanted. This year I've bought two ready built systems including this one. So far I'm pretty satisfied with the HP but I've not been able to try everything out. I did add a DVI capable video card since it comes only with an onboard VGA. No goofiness to Vista and I did install SP1 a couple of weeks ago. The TV and DVD capabilities have had no glitches. A good home PC.
