After my dog chewed through the power cord for my Toshiba laptop, I tried a cheap out in buying this product ($25 v. $140). The lack of the Underwriters Laboratories seal should have been a warning sign. After only a month of no extraordinary use, the wiring has been exposed due to peeling of brittle plastic on both ends of the adapter and near the plug head. I can tell you that the internal wires are blue, pink, and a yellow/green ground. However, the cord does work; mine is now being shielded in about five yards of electrical tape.

It works really well. I don't have to pay a lot of money for this and I'm really happy with it.
