HP ProCurve Switch 2650

The ProCurve Switch 2650 presents a cost-effective solution for medium and large businesses. This switch includes 48 10/100 ports and 2 dual personality ports for 10/100/1000 or flexible fiber Gigabit connectivity. This switch supports basic IP routing as well as VLAN tagging for up to 256 VLANs simultaneously. Ports can also be trunked for larger virtual bandwidth. The ProCurve Switch 2650 is ideal for secure 10/100 connectivity in multi-service networks. With support for advanced traffic filtering and prioritization the ProCurve Switch 2650 is well suited for environments with delay-sensitive traffic such as voice and video. With 802.1ab LLDP discovery the 2650 advertises and receives management information from adjacent devices and LLDP-MED support provides a standardized way to auto-configure and manage IP phones because configurations, such as Voice VLAN and QoS, are stored in network switches and used to automatically discover and configure IP phones as they connect to the network. Support for IP static routes enables routing between VLANs in multi-VLAN environments. The ProCurve Switch 2650 also provides hardware redundancy with RPS. The ProCurve Switch 2650 comes with ProCurve Manager, a dynamic network management package with fast access to real-time information from an intuitive interface, and automated tools that take action when problems arise. ProCurve Manager and the upgrade, ProCurve Manager Plus give you the power to dynamically manage devices and traffic from a simple, top-down perspective. When coupled with Identity Driven Manager you can also manage user access in both a wired and wireless environment.
