Multi-Burner Ultrabay 2000 DVD-RW Writer (8x/1x/8x DVD-RW, 16x/8x/24x CD-RW)

One drive now performs a variety of functions. The ThinkPad Multi-Burner Ultrabay 2000 Drive reads and writes both high capacity DVD (up to 9.4GB per double-sided DVD-RAM disk) and inexpensive CD media. It is a perfect solution for file sharing, backup, audio CD creation, software installations and DVD video playback.Silent Select feature allows you to transition to future generations of these drives without having to change the software or drivers - promotes stable software images. Save Jobs feature allows you to save your customized CD layouts on the system, so you can access and modify the file selection at a later date before burning a new CD. DVD-Multi specification delivers playback/record compatibility across the formats endorsed by the DVD Forum (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM).
