I've read some of the other reviews stating that the connection manager program from belkin is not functional and/or buggy, but I must say, since I've installed my N router and this adapter, I'm getting much better performance than the old G. Even through a couple of nasty thick walls between my bedroom and the living room where I installed the router. Installing was very simple, and using Belkin's connection manager made it very easy to connect to my N wifi router. So I rate this product 5 stars, because it has great looks, performance and is very simple to use.

Have used the Belkin wireless adapter (F5D8053N) and Belkin N Wireless Router (F5D8233-4) for about six months with no problems. Last month or so started getting dropped connections and thought the router and/or adapter had gone bad. After much experimenting, I solved the problem by providing additional cooling for the adapter/PC tower. I simply set up a small fan a few feet away that blows directly toward the tower (Belkin adapter is inserted in USB port on front of PC). I no longer get dropped connections. Have stayed connected all day long for two weeks now without any drops. Obviously it would be better to not have to set up a fan, but this was an easy enough fix. If you are having problems with dropped connections, try this trick as part of your troubleshooting. Adapter should only feel slightly warm to the touch. If it feels hot, you may need to provide better air circulation. Figuring this out saved me $100-$150 and more grief, as I was prepared to get rid of my Belkin equipment and get a D-Link wireless router/adapter. I'm glad that won't be necessary!

I purchased this to replace a 108.11 b/g USB wireless adapter for my desktop computer. The connection used to drop frequently when the adapter heated up. The computer is on the 2nd floor and the wireless router is in the basement. With this product the connection does not drop at all and the signal is strong. I will recommend this product even if the router and computer are seperated by couple of floors.
