The Epson PictureMate Dash PM 260 Photo Printer works flawlessly. Great looking pictures. Took it to this year's family vacation and, after seeing the results, everyone wanted one for themselves.

I have never thought photos printed on any type of home printers were very good. This little printer has changed my mind. It is awesome! It prints the best pictures I've ever seen, including stores. If I need a lot of pictures printed in 4 X 6 size, I would still use the services of a store that will print them for 12cents or so each. But this is great if you want smaller photos (you can put several small photos on one 4X6 paper) or if you need a copy of a photo quick. I love to tuck a small photo in a card -- now I can. I do scrapbooking, so this is just perfect. I don't always want all pictures 4 X 6. A friend of mine is in the Peace Core in a remote part of Benin in Africa. She uploaded a photo of herself and her hosting family to her blog. I was able to print it out on this little PIctureMate. It was perfect! To think I had a photo copy in my hand of a picture that was taken 2 hours earlier in Africa.

A very nice handy gadget to have. This is great to take with you when visiting family. You can take the picture, print, and grandma's everywhere are thrilled! Does not have as many options as the picturemate snap but for the money its good enough. The pictures are excellent with more detail than those you would get processed at your local drugstore. A great product. I highly reccommend.

After fighting with and subsequently ditching my hp photosmart printer for a brother laser printer, I purchased this printer so that I could still print some photos at home. I usually print out photos for the sole purpose of hanging on the fridge or to give to the grandmas....any heavy duty prints I order from www.mpix.com. If I would have written this review a few days ago I would have rated it poorly, but now that I have had a few days to play I realize that I am just a big dummy instead. 1. I have always used an hp printer so I have mounds of hp paper lying around. The prints that were coming out looked horrible. They smudged, had roller marks and the colors were not that great. This morning I went to Target and for less than $15.00 bought a 100 count package of 4x6 glossy photo II paper and WOW what a difference. The first photo that I printed looked amazing, the quality is comparable to the ones that I send away for. 2. When I was setting up the printer it kept giving me an error message saying that it could not complete the auto-align steps needed for setup. After I shouted a load of explicatives at the printer and read the manual a hundred times I still could not get it to align. I decided what the heck and I printed a photo anyway. To my dismay all of the colors came out except blue. So I performed the nozzle cleaning and then voila the printer did an auto-align immediately and the blue ink was flowing properly. After these minor snags, the printer is working wonderfully and I am very pleased with the results of the photos.

I have a larger Canon Pixma that I love, but wanted a portable one that did not have to be hooked up to computer. This is exactly what I hoped it would be! I had it up and running in minutes, and the prints are great! I am having so much fun :) I also bought one for my Mom to make it much easier for her to print her photos also (she has an all-in-one printer, fax, scanner). The prints look really good, and I love the crop feature. Not sure how long the ink included will last, so better order more. I'm havin a great time! Also, I ordered it here on Amazon, but it shipped from J&R Music and Computer World. Very fast turn-around! If you are considering purchasing this printer, I would do it before the price increases. There is a $50 instant rebate that is reflected in most seller prices, but I'm sure it won't last forever...

If your not that particular about your images, this printer may do you just fine. This has been the only Sony product that I've had some disappointment with. It seems the faster print speed comes with the sacrifice of print quality. The FP-90 prints no where close to the quality of the older upright Sony DPP-EX5. Thanks to short time periods of ANY new product or it's accessories to be available in the store off the shelf, such as the print pack for the DPP-EX5, I took a chance on the FP-90. For everday photos the FP-90 may suit you just fine. I use 6 different printers for different applications for images on my website. After printing the second image of the Space Shuttle, which has a lot of sky in it,....I noticed banding in the image made by the FP-90. For ANY of my images, this is not acceptable. The new print roll (paper) for the FP-90 seems a little "cheesy" as compared to the older paper for the EX-5. From a photographer's point of view, find some other Dye-Sub for your application, for the less picky, this printer should suit you just fine. To see the Space Shuttle images that I noticed the "banding" in, go to my website [...] and look for the Space Shuttle page. Although you will not see the "banding" in the images you will view on your screen (because their digital files and not printed images), you can see how most Shuttle images have "sky" in them. The sky, because of it being an almost continuous tone, is where this banding is most likely to show itself. So for this particular application where I would of liked to use Dye-Sublimation.... well, sorry Sony....not this time!

I was excited about getting this printer, but was soon disappointed with its functions. It did not perform as I expected to do. The instructions were difficult for me to understand. I still have not printed a 5X7 print yet. I am back to using my standard Canon printer.

This a wonderful product, I like the simplicity and the quality. It has many extras like adding clipart, frames & borders, red-eye removal, cropping, brightness adjustment, an album creator, and the ability to add photo color effects like black & white, antique, sepia, and negative. The stylus makes it easy to scroll the menus and to choose your selections on the large LCD screen. It has all the ports for memory cards, USB, and Bluetooth adapter for wireless printing from your cell phone. It can print on 4x6 and 5x7 photo paper. It's great to take on the go because it's lightweight, compact, has a carrying handle and the screen and front door fold in. You can even purchase a battery for it for even more travel convenience. No computer required! I've printed tons of pics on just one ink cartridge (not on the one that is included though, it is only good for a few). The ONLY thing I wish it had is the option to print smaller pics (like two 2x3's on one sheet of paper). Other than that, this printer has it all and I've throughly enjoyed using it and believe me, I have used it A LOT! It is ideal for scrapbooking, too. A great item!!!!

Purchased this product for my wife because she felt printing pictures from the PC was too difficult. With the easy to follow directions included with this printer my wife was printing pictures in just minutes. The quality of the prints exceeds my high-end photo printer and the unit cost was more than reasonable.

My brother gave this to our father who is in assisted living. It doesn't take up much space, it gives him something to do and the print quality is very good. The only problem is that my father has lost dexterity in his fingers, so he struggles putting the memory stick in. If he can use it, anybody can use it. Still, there's nothing difficult about this unit and it beats watching TV. He's had it for several months and really enjoyed printing out pictures from his 96th birthday party while the party was still going on and giving the pictures away. It was such fun we all wanted one. We weren't able to get it to crop photos, but it may be that it will do that and we just didn't figure that part out. Still, nice photos. A very useful, easy-to-use unit if your fingers work right.

I bought two, one for a gift. Very good quality photos. Fast printing. The LCD screen is too small and you can't zoom in to see if you need to edit more before prining (w/out a computer). With a computer, no problem; but the software package for photo editting leaves something to be desired. Sometimes the red-eye reduction needs to be undone. The photo managing is not always easy and intuitive. Overall, I love this printer and recommend it for the price, quality, and cheap recurring costs of printing.

I bought this product on sale and am very happy with it. I have an all-in-one that does pictures but it is to much of a bother to set-up the tray every time I want to print pictures. The A526 prints directly from the memory card. The pictures look great! I am very impressed with the quality of the prints. Great alternative to driving to a print shop or waiting for the mail!Good product!Good price.

I recently bought the Cannon Pixma 4500 because of the good reviews it received in Consumer Reports. So far I am very pleased with it's performance. It is very fast. Quality is excellent. I like it that the different color cartridges can be changed separately - which will save me money and ensure that I use every last drop of ink before changing the cartridge. My only frustration was that it did not come with the cord needed to hook up the printer to the computer. Luckily, my scanner used the same cord and I was able to use that until I had a chance to go out and buy another one for the printer. That cost over $30. But I am still very happy with this purchase, and was able to get a great price for the printer on Amazon.

I bought the printer roughly a month ago to only print black and white pages. Its speed amazes me and the print is very crisp and profesional looking. I'm also happy that the canon unlike others does not install a million applications for the printer to work. It is very sharp looking but be awear it is very large. I have yet to print a color photo, i just don't see the point in it. But its nice to know that, anything i would like I can do. Very happy

Wow, I am very glad I am not the only one having problems with this. For starters, they have the wrong drivers on the website for this printer. Go straight to Gutenprint. Just google it. Had to wait through 2 hours customer service with someone I couldn't understand from epson to be told it was a problem with my operating system (mac). On the phone with mac support for twenty minutes(and could understand them:) to find out that it WAS epsons problem, but mac support came through with the hookup to third party Gutenprint. GO MAC!!! Now, that the p.a.c. is working, I have printed 20 documents(yes, i just counted :| ) and it tells me I am out of black ink. Now, I'm cheap and I know that when a printer is "out of ink" it's only nearly out of ink. You take it out, bang on it, and it's good for another while. Not this one. Luckily, I did have a black ink lying about. So I chuck it in and hit print again. Prints the last page, stops where the words do, and just chills there until i yank the paper out and hit cancel. Now, mind you, I only have printed two 4x6 photos and two colour pages. And the thing tells me I'm out of all the colour inks. I am trying to print a text doc, no colour, so I figure I can make it print without changing these cartridges. NO!!! Won't let you. If anyone wants to buy one of these for 20 bucks, lemme know. It's going to ebay.

Constantly needs new ink. Cartridge error is a constant banner. Will never buy an Epson again.

    3. Star FullStar EmptyStar EmptyStar EmptyStar Empty Posted: Jul 1 2008

I recently purchased one of these to replace my 10-year-old HP printer. It has a nice scanner, but after printing 6 or 7 black and white pages, it showed it was almost out of the red and yellow ink, half empty on the blue ink and 1/3 of the black ink was gone. Epson's customer service said to reseat the ink cartridges so I did, but still have the problem. Other printer review sites mention this problem with this and other Epson models. I am still awaiting a response from Epson about what to do next. With all the complaints on the web about this issue, they definitely are familiar with it. My old HP would print hundreds of pages before I had to buy a new color or black ink cartridge. I'm glad I didn't throw it out. All the Epson is good for is scanning. I don't even feel like I can sell it to someone because I wouldn't want to pass this problem along to them. My advice: Do not buy this Epson model, and research well any other Epson you are thinking of buying.
