I was thoroughly impressed by the quickness and clearness of print. The printer can be lugged anywhere to use. The printer cartridges are used quickly, so make sure buy double the printer cartridges when printing a lot.

This printer is very easy to set up , easy to carry with the box it comes in , and prints clearly. The only negative thing (if you can call it that is) it uses the black cartridges fast when you print lots of black & white documents only. I just wish the black ink cartridges were bigger (lol).

The ip90v, my laptop, and both power supplies fit nicely in a laptop case. I used it as my carry-on luggage to South Africa. The printer exceeded my expectation in speed, ease of use and portability. Dual voltage made it more convenient to use with 240 volts in Africa.

Quick, EZ, simple. Printers are my traditional Nemesis. This one is a joy to have. The "User Friendly" programs are superior.

I've had two Epson printers, and never again! They were slow as molasses to print plain documents, they jammed frequently, they used a lot of ink, and worst, the printer would very often fail for no reason, requiring a rebooting of the computer and a lot of frustration over wasted time. I've had friends report the exact same problems. Anyway, I just received the Canon Pixma MP 470. I am rating it 4 stars only because I've only had it for 24 hours, but so far, I am in love. It was amazingly easy to install, and I am not good with hardware. You do need to connect it with a usb printer cord as suggested as an additional purchase when you order the device. Ink installation was also very easy. The documents print FAST, and both color and b/w are crisp. Scanned documents came out fine. I did not buy this primarily for photo printing, but for document printing at home, and I needed a low profile compact machine because it fits into a niche in my desk. So far, so good!!

It's exactly what is needed for the small office as long as you don't need a fax. Canon always = quality. Small space required even for paper in and prints out, super looking, easy to install and Canon does not want to control your whole PC like HP insists on in order to function. The Canon just works smoothly and VERY quietly. HP insists on loading all kinds of interactive software that slows down a computer system. HP spreads icons everywhere and is just annoying. I'm normally a very calm professional person but, I threw my HP all-in-one across the garage floor after being tortured by issues and support for two years. Glad it's gone! The down sides of the Canon .... Pay attention to the paper in and out trays for your own preferrences. The HP's high quality photo's seem slightly more detailed than the Canon although I'm not sure why. The Canon basic software for printing set up choice is not as detailed as HP (but it also does not demand control of your whole computer) and it's a little confusing which paper setting to use with other than Canon brand high quality photo papers .... BUT, It is EXACTLY what I needed for my home office.

I recently bought the Cannon Pixma 4500 because of the good reviews it received in Consumer Reports. So far I am very pleased with it's performance. It is very fast. Quality is excellent. I like it that the different color cartridges can be changed separately - which will save me money and ensure that I use every last drop of ink before changing the cartridge. My only frustration was that it did not come with the cord needed to hook up the printer to the computer. Luckily, my scanner used the same cord and I was able to use that until I had a chance to go out and buy another one for the printer. That cost over $30. But I am still very happy with this purchase, and was able to get a great price for the printer on Amazon.

I looked on consumer reports for the best rated printer. The canon pixma ip4500 was the best. I haven't been sorry yet!

I bought the printer roughly a month ago to only print black and white pages. Its speed amazes me and the print is very crisp and profesional looking. I'm also happy that the canon unlike others does not install a million applications for the printer to work. It is very sharp looking but be awear it is very large. I have yet to print a color photo, i just don't see the point in it. But its nice to know that, anything i would like I can do. Very happy

I got this printer for free; I wouldn't recommend buying it. It uses up ink like crazy, and the cartridges are more expensive than other canon ink cartridges. While the printer quality is fine, it's a hassle to use. It took me a long time to get the hang of loading the paper (it can't hold much at a time, or the paper jams). Worse, there's no place for the paper to go after it leaves the printer. This means you're stuck catching the paper yourself after it comes out if you don't want your paper scattering all over the place. It's small, which is good for small spaces, but you have to sacrifice perks that better printers have like different settings. Try a different small printer if you want real quality.

This little printer is oddly the best printer I've ever had. Mainly because it's still working, it never fails to print. I've been using it steadily for three years and have yet to have a single issue with it. I'm no longer terrified about printing close to a deadline, or feeding the paper by hand, or jams. It just prints. And perfectly.

My Epson died after only 1 year. Love this Canon. Pros: PRICE, PRICE, PRICE, ease of set-up and use, quite good print quality. Cons: printouts fall onto floor (no tray), print quality a little washed out (compensate by setting intensity higher, then looks excellent). I had no trouble locating inktanks, and they weren't any more expensive than the ones for my Epson.
