This "all in one" is very simple to set-up and even simpler to use. Nice feature to just plug in memory cards and print direct without even turning on the PC. Easy to select a pic from the memory card and print in different sizes. Pop up display is nice touch for easy viewing. Scanning is straight forward whether your scanning to paper or file. Copying couldn't be easier. Quality is fantastic for a printer this cheap. But the best thing of all is the printer cartridges are CHEAP! I would recommend this for any household on a budget yet still wanting to do it all from one device. This would also work well in a office, however it should only be used for light duty. I would not recommend this if you need a work hog of a printer. I first saw this printer listed in Best magazine and they gave it highest ratings.... they were absolutely right!

I thought that it would be worth sacrificing a little quality to save a lot of money. With the ink at less than half what I was spending for my Epson printer, it was well worth the loss in quality, so I thought. My Kodak Easyshare printer has been a source of constant problems. Most of my ink is wasted cleaning the print heads! And since so often the printer fails, I am wasting too much paper, and when I am using Kodak Premium Photo Paper, required for high quality prints, well it is costing me a fortune! By the way I am still using my 10-year-old scanner for everything that is important. The scanner on the Easyshare is uneven, like a bad Xerox, one end of the scan is lighter than the other. I have had this printer for about six months and it has only gone from bad to worse. Customer service is outsourced to India so be prepared for a little culture shock when you call (and you will call), what is a big deal to you, is not a big deal to them. I needed to print out a lot of materials prepared for a presentation that I was giving on Tuesday morning (I had spent a month preparing the items that I wanted to have freshly printed) and instead of understanding my distress and trying to find a solution, the customer service rep, kept repeating that I "simply" needed to wait for the part, which would arrive in three to five business days, after my deadline. The part (a replacement printer head) is only available through them by mail-no local service centers! This is an easy to replace part with a high fail rate, and the printer will not print properly if it is not in perfect working order, but it is not available locally? Also there were no managers or supervisors available, even if I was willing to wait on the line indefinitely for one to become available. I am not sure if the poor girl in India would lose her job if she transferred me or if she or Kodak could just care less about a customer in distress. Looks like I am off to Kinkos! My Kodak printer is just an oversized paperweight today! Save the headaches, buy another printer! My Epson Photo printed higher quality photos and in the end, my Epson Photo Printer (and ink costing $45/set) was actually saving me money!

I have never sent in a product review before, but am sharing this with the hope of sparing potential buyers the nightmare of this printer. I purchased this last October and had problems from Day 1. Spent countless hours on the phone with technical support (both local and distant), got a new printhead, etc. Bottom line: this printer does not work as advertised and has serious problems with both software and hardware - i.e. the photo prints are misaligned, new/updated software doesn't load onto my PC, etc. I have attempted to get a refund directly from Kodak for this purchase (missed the 30 day return from Best Buy). This process has been equally frustrating and I have yet to be successful. Although Kodak advertises LOW printing costs, I have purchased more print cartridges for this printer in less than a year than for my older Canon printer over 3 years. Save yourself time, money and aggravation and buy a printer that works well and is without so many problems!
