This lock has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are: -retractable cord makes it super portable and easy to store in your computer bag. Disadvantages: -the cord is short. Even though the cord goes 4 feet, it must loop back around to the base device making the effective distance from the thing you want to secure your computer to 2 feet. If you frequent a place where the only thing you can lock to is greater than 2 feet away from your computer, you should look elsewhere. -You continually have to take out the adapter when you want to secure your computer and you have put it back in when you are done.

I am delighted. I will be traveling extensively and need to secure my new laptop. This product is easy to carry, works great, has a nice long cable and is easy to use. The fact the cable retracts into the case makes it so much easier to carry than other products. This is a bargain. Great Quality, good looks, and a low price - what more could I ask for?

Inexpensive safety
For very little cost, this has given me a great deal of peace of mind.
