I bought it to use with an 8-year-old HP932C via parallel port with Linux (Debian and Ubuntu) and Windows (XP pro) hosts. I didn't bother with the provided utility; I just configured a host on the network to match the IP on the print server, webbed in, and changed the IP to match the rest of the network. lpr/lpd mode worked fine with the various Linux and Windows systems. Was up and running within a few minutes of taking it out of the box. Note it comes with a static IP rather than with DHCP enabled. So if you aren't using the matching subnet, you will need to temporarily reconfigure a host to match it.

Quickly connected an HP LaserJet 3050 (multifunction) and Canon IP6000D color photo printer. Both work fine, although I do not get printer status reported, which - according to TrendNet Website - is not supported even though bi-directional communication is supported. (But what's the value in that if printer status is not returned across the network?) User manual is non-existent. Thanks to previous reviewer who supplied link to instructions for adding ports / printers. So... Two USB printers successfully up and running across the network. Nothing connected to the LPT port yet. Happy!! Setup: TE100-P21, Linksys WRT54G Router, XP Pro Laptop, Vista Ultimate Desktop. Just had to change the IP of the print server to match my local network.

A very nice piece of hardware. Installed easily to my server. Hard to find three printer print servers these days, really hard to find servers that handle more than one usb printer. And a very attractive price. All in all a good purchase for my small company.
