I bought this model 2 years ago at Best Buy for $700. I immediately upgraded my RAM to 2GB and it has served me faithfully ever since. Here are my thoughts after 2 years: -It is not a powerhouse. It handles most photo editing and video editing, although sometimes slowly. Basically, it will do anything except intense video work or 3D gaming. Games that work are usually older (Unreal Tournament, Thief, KOTOR). Do not count on playing Crysis or America's Army or even the original Call of Duty. (believe me, I tried EVERYTHING to get COD to work). It multitasks well. -It is dependable. I have only taken it to campus tech services once when Windows wouldn't load after a crash. The crash was from Windows Movie Maker, which you should avoid anyway. Crashes are rare, as are long periods of frozen activity. It pretty much works...pretty much all the time. -It is fast enough. After 2 years, it still boots up smoothly and runs smoothly. It's no speed demon, but for a laptop, it's very adequate. -It's kinda big. It's not unbearably big, but it could be smaller. I'm usually at a desk, so it doesn't affect me much. Overall I am pleased with this computer. It really helps when you keep it clean, scanned, and updated. Treat it right and it will treat you right. A couple cons: -The webcam is finicky and doesn't always want to work. -The microphone port decided to stop working one day. I ended up getting a USB converter. -Comes with only 1GB of RAM.

I bought this laptop about 18 months ago for when I went off to college. I already had a desktop and just needed somthing I could carry with me to classes, take notes, etc. And for that purpose it works great. This was a lifesaver, especially for my programming class where I could run the java programming software and could write programs and test them along with my professor in class. It does run slow with only 1gb of ram running vista. You could upgrade the ram or just adjust some settings and delete some of the unnecessary software like I did. I think it runs well enough. Definately not suited for gaming or video editing. But it does work well for watching DVDs. I also used the built in webcam and mic to do live video chats with my family and that also worked great. I also ran into the black screen of death several times however I haven't seen it in a long time now so an update may have fixed this problem.

I will not type long review since it will take several hundreds of line mentioning the horrible experience I had with this piece of crap. Well thats a bit of exaggeration but more or less it reflects my frustration with this laptop. Bottom line - PLS. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS LAPTOP.
