Have had one that is identical (or so I thought) for a couple of years now, it has always been a great card. For some reason the new one won't work in any of my older equip.(PDA or camera). After a little digging around, have found that the newer card uses MLC flash as opposed to SLC like the old one. Sent it back for a quick and easy refund. Found SLC ones available at another site.

The card electronics is fine. Never had a problem. However, the lock/unlock tab eventually falls out and the card ends in perpetual READ ONLY state. I've tried to get the tab back in, and have concluded that my hands need to be 10 times smaller to do that. By comparison, I got Sandisk at the same time, with the same usage. All of my sandisk cards albeit more expensive, still work. I've had 3 transcends die, and I'm ditching the rest.

WARNING: The advertised Write Speed is WRONG on Amazon. As per Transcend Datasheet the speeds are as follows -- Data Transfer Rate @ PC (Maximum): Read:20MB/sec, Write:12MB/sec www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/Datasheet/ts4gsd150.pdf Transcend does not specifically state this particular card will work in an older Canon SD600, however the card is recognized & functions without error. I have two(2) TS4GSD150s. 1st one was purchased 10/08, has worked flawlessly ever since. You have to format the card inside camera before use. After which, the SD600 camera states available space for 1,460 photos at 2816x2112 ("Large", 6 megapixels) and "Superfine" setting. Video space available is 34' 18" at 640x480. I just received the 2nd card a couple days ago and so far it's functioning ok in the camera after formatting card. Currently card is at a good price since the 1st card cost me $68.
