I need an internet phone. I will have an internet connection, wireless and/or wired - as in a hotel or at home. What do I need to make a phone call besides the headset and the internet connection? Currently I have a Vonage V-Phone. It is impressive but requires a PC. I want to make calls without having to lug around the PC, and exposing it to theft. Oh, and I want security and clarity.

Pros: I have only had a few days, but seems to work simply and well with my Linksys SPA2102 VOIP TA and Callcentric. Setup sb easy in XP, not so much in Vista (see below). Amazon has the model wrong, this is a WBP54G. With an appropriate Linksys TA, no power supply is needed. Cons: 1) No Vista support (but in Vista you can right click on the SetupWizard.exe after unzipping > Compatability > check the Compatibility box and select XP SP2 mode, then check "Run as Administrator" > Apply, then run. Be sure to unplug and replug power supply if no device appears). 2) No registration support I could find and little other support. 3) No power supply (for non Linksys TA uses) included

I bought two of these for low cost wireless adapters to avoid running Ethernet cables for a directv box and a new blue ray player that needed Internet connections. It wasn't apparent that the wireless bridges do not include power supplies. After I recieved the Cisco units I had to go on Ebay to find power supplies for them after figuring out that standard D-Link power supplies would work. Once I got the power supplies, both the wireless bridges worked fine to connect the DTV box and DVD player to the Internet.
